Medical Professional Discount

Powered by SheerID. Verification typically takes about 30 seconds, and the 10% discount applies to your next quote automatically.
How does the 10% medical discount work?
Submit your CAD file at /quote and add code MEDICAL10 to the notes field. Our team verifies your credentials within one business day, applies a 10% discount line item to the quote, and sends the updated total. Payment is collected only after the discount lands.
The discount is verified, not promotional — we confirm that you're a licensed medical professional, on staff at a healthcare facility, or part of a biomedical research / device team before applying it. Verification is one-time per account and takes one business day. The discount then applies to every future order automatically.
Verified accounts also get net-30 billing on facility orders, priority queue access for urgent surgical-planning work, and free engineering review on the first three projects. Volume tiers stack on top of the 10% — a typical mid-volume medical prototype run lands around 18–22% under list.

ISO 10993-class resins for biocompatible work (dental aligners, surgical guides, anatomical phantoms). Standard photopolymer resin and nylon for non-contact study models. Sterilizable thermoplastics for jigs, fixtures, and instrument holders.
Anatomical study models for pre-op planning typically print in standard SLA resin — high resolution captures fine vessel and bone detail, and the parts are intended for surgeon review, not patient contact. PLA and PETG handle low-cost study models in volume.
For biocompatible work — dental aligners, surgical guides, splints, custom anatomical phantoms — we route to ISO 10993 dental resin under cleanroom UV cure. Sterilizable polyamide (Nylon PA-12) covers reusable jigs, fixtures, and instrument-handling tooling that need to survive autoclave cycles.

Yes. Files are encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest (S3 KMS), stored privately, and never shared. We process CAD geometry only — never DICOM, patient identifiers, or protected health information. Mutual NDA available on request for sensitive R&D.
We're not a HIPAA business associate and explicitly do not process protected health information — strip patient metadata from CT/MRI-derived geometry in your slicing tool before upload. Once you submit a CAD file, only the print-shop workflow sees it; we don't share with third parties and we delete the originals 90 days after order completion (the same window the privacy policy commits to for all customer files), unless you have a longer-retention agreement.
For sensitive R&D work — implantable device geometry, novel instrument designs — we sign a mutual NDA on request. Email legal@3dservicesusa.com with your draft and we typically return signed within one business day.
